Don’t Let These April Class Action Deadlines Pass You By.

April is the busiest month this year for class action lawsuits. From data breaches at large companies to chemicals in underwear, there are plenty of payouts for those who qualify.

The following is not a complete list of class action lawsuits (you can see it here ), but the ones that most people are likely to claim. We’ll tell you what you need to know: who is eligible to file a claim, when is the deadline, and what compensation is available.

DoubleDown Interactive Casino Games

The lawsuit alleges that the sale of virtual chips by DoubleDown Interactive, LLC was illegal under Washington state law.

If you played at DoubleDown, DoubleDown Fort Knox, DoubleDown Classic and/or Ellen’s Road to Riches while in the US prior to November 14, 2022, you are eligible to apply. The deadline for filing a claim is April 11, 2023.

How much each eligible person will receive has not yet been determined, but it will depend on how much participants have spent and how many people qualify for the payout. You can apply here and find more information in the FAQ section .

Preferred Precision Group Reports on Unauthorized Consumers

The lawsuit alleges that Preferred Precision Group, LLC, a consumer reporting agency that provides background check services, violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) by obtaining customer records for employment purposes without proper authorization or disclosure.

If you have received a consumer report as a job seeker or employer in the Preferred Precision Group since April 5, 2019, you are considered a member of the group. The deadline for filing a claim is April 10, 2023.

The exact amount of compensation each class member will receive depends on how many people have applied, but it is expected to be around $50. You can apply here and find more information in the FAQ section .

Volkswagen and Audi data leak

The lawsuit alleges that Volkswagen and Audi of America, Inc. failed to protect the personal information of their customers and employees. The data breach led to the disclosure of many people’s sensitive information, including social security numbers and financial information.

You are considered a class member if you have been affected by a data breach, including those who have received a data breach notification from Volkswagen or Audi. The deadline for filing a claim is April 12, 2023.

Chemistry for underwear Thinx

The lawsuit alleges that Thinx, a women’s underwear brand, sold underwear that contained harmful chemicals, including pesticides and carcinogens, that were not reported to consumers.

To be a class member, you must purchase any of the following Thinx underwear in the United States between November 12, 2016 and November 28, 2022: Cotton Briefs, Cotton Bikinis, Cotton Thongs, Athletic, Hiphugger, High Rise. , Boyshort, French Cut, Cheeky and Thong-style underwear. The deadline for filing a claim is April 12, 2023.

Class members have two options: a cash refund for past purchases of up to three pairs in total, or a one-time voucher for a future purchase of matching Thinx underwear. You can apply here and find more information in the FAQ section .

False All-Clad “dishwasher safe” ad

The All-Clad Metalcrafters lawsuit alleges that they falsely advertised that certain kitchen utensils were dishwasher safe when in fact they were not.

If you purchased All-Clad D3, D5, or LTD cookware or products sold as “dishwasher safe” in the United States between January 1, 2015 and July 29, 2022, you are a class member. The deadline for filing a claim is April 18, 2023.

False Ads for Xtend Workout Powders

The lawsuit alleges that Woodbolt Distribution, LLC falsely advertised its “Xtend” training powders as “0 calories”.

Class Members include individuals who purchased certain Xtend Training Powders in the United States ( view full list here ) between July 28, 2014 and January 24, 2023. The deadline for filing a claim is April 24, 2023.

According to the lawsuit, class members can receive $0.50 per product purchased, up to a maximum of $50 with proof of purchase or up to $25 without proof of purchase. You can apply here and find more information in the FAQ section .

Dickey’s Barbecue data leak

According to the class action lawsuit , Dickey’s Barbecue restaurants failed to protect customers’ personal and financial information, resulting in a data breach that exposed sensitive information, including credit card numbers.

If you used a credit or debit card at any of the affected Dickey’s Barbecue restaurants nationwide between April 23, 2019 and October 29, 2020, you may be eligible for this class action lawsuit. The deadline for filing a claim is April 22, 2023.

Class members can receive up to $5,000 for out-of-pocket expenses (with documentation) such as bank fees, communication fees, fraudulent payments, or identity theft. If you don’t have documentation, you can get up to $100. You can apply here and find more information in the FAQ section .
