What’s Your Favorite Way to Reuse a Small Plastic Pizza Table?

Last weekend I went to my parents’ house to celebrate my father’s birthday. I bought them dinner at a little French bistro, then we went home and enjoyed a Spider-Man themed cake made by my sister. (Why Spider-Man? She’s a comic book historian, and they were “from Batman.”) The cake—carrot cake with cream cheese frosting—was very good, and my stepmother sent me home with a slice. She set the cake on a plate, placed a small plastic “pizza table” in the center of the slice, and covered the whole thing with a clear shower cap. It is, as they say, a hack.

“Find a smart use for the junk you usually throw away” is the basis of the life hack: organizing wires with bread clips , using a rubber band to loosen a stubborn screw , any of these 14 uses for paper clips – they all fall into this category, like everyone else , which is related to the white plastic “table” that gets stuck in the center of your pizza. The official name is “pizza box support” but it’s not as fun as “tiny pizza table”.

Whatever you call it, this thing supports either a pizza box or your phone pretty well, or, as you can see in the photo above, the plastic protecting a piece of carrot cake to go (or any other cake). , for that matter). I know there must be even more uses for this little thing, and I suspect you smart readers have a few.

So please, if you have a hack, trick, or use for this humble piece of plastic, share it with the class. The most useful and creative content will be compiled into a news bulletin that will be published online, so do your best.
