You Can Get Paid to Drive Oscar Mayer’s Windmobile

Applications are open to become a “hot dogger” or Wienermobile spokesperson from Oscar Mayer. If you are one of 12 people selected for this job, you will be able to drive the Wienermobile around the country doing media interviews and other public relations and marketing tasks for a hot dog and cold cuts company. The job offers a one-year contract with a salary of $35,600; $150 weekly stipend; 18 paid days off; full health benefits; and paid hotels. According to Apartment Therapy , you will travel to about 20 states and be considered an Oscar Mayer brand ambassador.

What does Hotdogger do?

Who is eligible to be a “hot dogger”? Well, here is what Oscar Meyer says in the description of his work:

We are looking for outgoing, creative, friendly, enthusiastic college graduates who have an appetite for adventure and are ready to see the country through the windshield of an Oscar Mayer Wienermobile. Applicants must have a bachelor’s or bachelor’s degree, preferably in public relations, journalism, communications, advertising, or marketing, although candidates are not limited to these degrees.

The company also states that you will be required to “serve a company car (Oscar Mayer Wienermobile). Work with internal and external promotion, marketing and sales professionals. Manage your own mobile public relations firm; organization of promotions, participation in the social content of the brand and pitching on television, radio and print media.

Also, you will obviously need a valid driver’s license and be comfortable driving awkwardly shaped vehicles over long distances.
