What’s New in Prime Video in January 2023
The first season of Hunters on Prime Video, a late 70s action film about a group of Nazi hunters hunting down surviving members of the Third Reich, premiered in late February 2020. my child is at school. Then the school closed along with everything else, and this subway ad hung there for most of the next year, advertising the show to virtually no one.
Considering these grim circumstances, and the fact that the show launched nearly three years ago and generated muted buzz and mixed reactions from audiences on a streaming service known for terminating shows at the slightest provocation , you’ll forgive me for thinking it was was cancelled. Yet the second season will release on January 13, and with the return of season one headliner Al Pacino (the season one finale left his fate ambiguous). What about this season? They follow Hitler. (So don’t wait for a third season , that’s what I’m saying.)
