This Club Only Lets You in If You’re Really Good at Video Games

So, I’m really bad at video games. Elden Ring was too much for me : I couldn’t stop dying. Everything I tried, every path I took seemed to put me in front of enemies who defeated me at every turn. Then I guess I won’t be invited to join one of the most exclusive gaming clubs. It’s not enough to beat a game like Elden Ring and not die. You must defeat him without getting hit .

Team Hitless is an exclusive club with one important requirement: you must complete one run without hitting, based on the Team Hitless rules list and approved games. As the name suggests, No-Hit Run is a video game walkthrough where you don’t take any damage from enemies. To be successful, you need to avoid every attack and do it from start to finish unscathed. It’s intense.

There are caveats: the damage that disqualifies running must come from enemies in the game. Fall damage, for example, does not count (although falling death does). If you block an enemy attack, it counts as a hit, but if you parry perfectly, then everything is fine. Of course, glitches and other hacks are not allowed. There is also a more difficult challenge called “Running Without Damage”, in which no damage is allowed. For example, if you take fall damage, reload the game. You can see the full list of general rules here , including specific rules for each game available.

Each game also has its own list of challenges, including fighting all the bosses or playing multiple games together in a row. Recently, Twitch streamer Dinossindgeil completed the ” God Run ” challenge, which involves completing all seven FromSoftware games without taking a single hit. As impressive as it was, this was the third time anyone had completed it. Some of these tasks have not been overcome by anyone, which makes them tempting to complete.

It’s one thing to get through without getting hit in a simple game. The original Super Mario Bros. comes to mind as a reasonable goal (with enough practice anyway). But Team Hitless isn’t interested in your Mario No-Hit Run or No-Hit Run for most games. In order to join their team, you need to successfully complete the run without getting hit in one of the following 22 games.

  • Bloody
  • Celeste
  • Crash Bandicoot
  • Crash Bandicoot 2
  • Crash Bandicoot 3
  • Crash Bandicoot 4
  • Cuphead
  • Dark souls
  • Dark Souls 2
  • Dark Souls 3
  • Demon Souls
  • ancient ring
  • Hades
  • hollow knight
  • Resident Evil
  • Resident Evil 2
  • Resident Evil 3
  • Resident Evil 4
  • Resident Evil 7
  • Resident Evil 8
  • Sekiro
  • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

It is no coincidence that many of these games are known for their difficulty. Seven FromSoftware games are infamous. The thought of me trying to do Elden Ring No Hit Run makes me hysterical.

However, if you’re not like me and think you have a chance to join Team Hitless, you should know that the club takes submissions very seriously. To apply for the first time, you need to showcase your run in one high-quality recorded stream on Twitch or YouTube. If the team deems that any of their policies have been violated or that was in any way related to fraud, your application will be rejected. Again, you can check out the full rules on the Team Hitless page here .

At the time of this writing, Team Hitness has 1,035 members, each with their own no-hit record. You can view the members here and see what games and challenges they have completed. Who knows, maybe you will become a member of 1036. I definitely won’t.
