Why You Should Upgrade “Pokémon Scarlet” and “Violet” on the First Day
Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet , the latest dual game in developer Game Freak’s iconic series, won’t hit retail or digital stores until November 18th. Of course, you can also take on players from all over the world in Battle Stadium, just like you’ve done in past games, although ranked battles and official online competition won’t be available until after the launch of Pokémon . In addition, you can receive Pikachu as a special gift for purchasing the game early through the Mystery Gift feature.
Some of these features do not require a Nintendo Switch Online plan . A paid subscription is only required for online multiplayer and Battle Stadium. To access other features of online play, you just need to connect your profile to your Nintendo Account and, of course, leave your Switch connected to the internet. Nintendo says you will need 1 GB of free space on your console to install the update.
