There are two FPS war games right now that you can download and play right now for free on your PC: Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory and Rising Storm 2: Vietnam . But the freebies won’t last long.
Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory
If you grew up playing first-person shooters on your PC in the 90s, you might recognize the Wolfenstein name. This is an old franchise that has gained a loyal cult following since they released their first 3D first-person shooter, Wolfenstein 3-D , in 1992.
Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory is the fifth game in the Wolfenstein line of games. It’s a World War II shooter with multiple maps, unique objectives, and a variety of weapons and gadgets to choose from. Up to 32 players can participate in the game at the same time, and you can play as an engineer, medic, soldier, field operative or covert operative.
It was originally released in 2003, but after 19 years fans have kept the game alive with video game modifications allowing multiplayer and custom maps, the game’s official developers, Splash Damage and Bethesda Softworks, have released official servers in the US, Europe, Australia, and the UK to play the original game online with multiplayer capability. The game can be downloaded via Steam here .
Rising Storm 2: Vietnam
Here is another fast paced FPS multiplayer game but this time you can choose from up to six different armies fighting in Vietnam. This game is only available for free until November 10 at 11:00 AM ET on the Epic Games Store .
Rising Storm 2: Vietnam features up to 64 multiplayer matches across over 20 unique maps with over 50 weapons and four helicopters to choose from. You will have to go through enemy mines, traps and tunnels to make sure you and your team survive. Originally released in 2017 for PC, the game strives to be as authentic as possible.
Both games are only available for Windows.
