16 Subtle Signs That Something More Serious Is Wrong With Your Health

Most of us do at least a little bit of due diligence to keep ourselves healthy. We watch what we eat, exercise, visit the doctor once a year, and monitor ourselves and our bodies for abnormalities and ominous signs. You can go too far and fall into hypochondria. But you can also do the opposite and ignore the little signs that may indicate more serious problems with your body. No one wants to spend more on a trip to the emergency room or going to the doctor than is absolutely necessary, so ignoring changes in our health and hoping they will just go away on their own is a common response, unless the changes are severe and anxious. But not all signs of declining health are big and bold—some are completely subtle and easy to ignore or miss entirely. The things listed here are not necessarily signs that you have a serious problem, and you should always check with your doctor before jumping to any conclusions.
