I’m far from judging other people’s bad parenting decisions – I’m pretty busy judging my own bad parenting decisions, thanks – but I think we’re doing kids a disservice by letting them watch adult content before they get old. . enough to really understand it in context. They are already growing too fast, and a big part of that process involves getting rid of the literal childish illusion that the world is a beautiful and magical place, not a terrible one. We probably shouldn’t use our own vague memories of a knife-fingered serial killer cutting up teenagers when we were 8 years old, and how we feel about it normally influences our decisions to let our kids do the same. and children are whiny and sometimes really want to see this inappropriate film. But if you let them, they will never forget it – as I will now demonstrate.
