Why You Should Cut Cherries With Ice Cream

A single bright red cherry on top of the ice cream is an iconic look steeped in nostalgia. Unfortunately, this is also the wrong move. Putting one cherry on ice cream means you can only eat one cherry, and I reject that notion (for myself, for you, for the world). Your sundae needs a few cherries, and those cherries need to be chopped.
Cherry maraschino – a flavor best spread
Maybe it’s because I’m a communist, but when it comes to cherries, I’m a firm advocate of redistributing the richness of taste. (I love the color too!) Why should there be only one burst of candied fruit for the ice cream eater, when there can be many such moments, focusing on ice cream sundaes? Aren’t we revolutionaries, free to change the material conditions in which we live (and eat ice cream)? Aren’t we hungry – craving cherries?
Economics aside, there’s also the matter of taste: a whole maraschino cherry can be eaten right away. The taste can be cloying, and if you’re not careful, it will saturate your palate. By cutting them into small pieces and sprinkling them all over the ice cream bowl, you will create a more balanced and harmonious dessert taste. (You can also add chunks to ice cream and make cherry ice cream or chocolate cherry ice cream, depending on the base flavor of your frozen milk dessert.)
You can still top it all with the iconic cherry for visual impact. You can also completely ignore my nonsense, but I believe that if you carefully consider my words, you will find that my arguments are sound and that my reasoning exists in reasonable form . (I can’t say this is true of everything I write, but I’m pretty sure about this cherry.)
