15 Things You Should Never Tell Your Kids

In the 18 or so years it takes to raise a child from infancy to someone somewhat ready for life outside of your protective bubble, you (and other relatives, friends, and neighbors alike) will make all sorts of mistakes. We have spoken so many words in these two decades that some of them are bound to hurt or otherwise negatively affect our children or our relationship with them, even if we are not aware of it, let alone intentionally.

There are labels that we unintentionally put on them, to all the ways we’ve been trying to get them to communicate over the years, that could be improved a little. Here are some things we should really try to stop telling our kids.
