9 Things to Avoid Unless You Want to Be That Person in the Gym

We are all familiar with some of the accepted rules of gym etiquette. Do not overuse equipment (for example, don’t throw plates as if they’re on fire), rearrange your weights, don’t monopolize exercise equipment, stop shamelessly hitting women, put your equipment back in place. Then there are those subtle rules of more common courtesy, varieties of annoyance that have nothing to do with exercise equipment but have a lot to do with being a self-aware person politely coexisting with others in tight, sometimes vulnerable places (hello locker rooms).
