FDA Says to Throw Out These Procter & Gamble Hair Care Products With Cancer-Causing Chemicals

Just weeks after recalling a number of its aerosol antiperspirants , Procter & Gamble (P&G) announced a voluntary recall of some of its aerosol dry shampoos and spray conditioners, according to a posting by P&G posted on the Food and Drug website. What is included in the review

Although P&G says benzene is not included in any of their products, when reviewing the company’s aerosol products, inspectors found “unexpected levels of benzene [which] came from a propellant that sprayed the product from a can” in the container. a variety of their dry shampoos and conditions. To date, P&G has received no reports of illness or injury related to the recalled products and states that it is conducting the recall “out of great caution”.

The recalled products – from Pantene, Aussie, Herbal Essences and Waterless, in addition to the previously discontinued aerosol dry shampoos from Old Spice and Hair Food – were sold nationwide both in stores and online. They were all made in the USA.
