These Grocery Chains Won’t Judge You and Will Be Open on Thanksgiving Day

For many of us, Thanksgiving is centered around a hearty meal. But let’s say you don’t want to spend a lot of time in the kitchen and prefer to sit on the couch and watch TV with takeaway food. Or maybe your meal is not going as planned and you need a spare last minute dinner. Or you realize that you just don’t want to wash a bunch of dishes. Or you just hang out alone and want to do something low-key. What to do?

Many grocery stores (and retailers like Target and Walmart ) will be open for short hours or will be completely closed on Thursday, but several chain restaurants expect them to be open for regular dinners or Thanksgiving orders. Here are some of the most popular … just make sure you check the opening hours or call ahead before heading out as it is possible that not all locations will be serviced on Thursday.

Don’t wait for Mexican pizza or Arch Deluxe … we know we miss them too and we’ll all just have to deal with it.
