Turn on the New Dark Mode to Make LinkedIn Less Annoying

LinkedIn hesitated a bit to catch the dark mode train, but finally began rolling out a more eye-pleasing topic. This feature is available on both the LinkedIn desktop website and the iPhone and Android apps; So if you’re looking for a job late at night, or browsing what the latest business leaders are doing for whatever reason, LinkedIn’s dark mode is the way to go.

Please note that LinkedIn is gradually rolling out this feature to all of its users – if you don’t see this feature in your account yet, you’ll have to wait a little longer.

How to turn on dark mode on LinkedIn for mobile

If you’re using LinkedIn on Android or iPhone, apps make it easy to turn on dark mode. Here’s how:

  1. Open the LinkedIn app on Android or iPhone and sign in to your account.
  2. Tap the profile icon in the upper left corner of the screen.
  3. Tap Settings .
  4. Select your account settings .
  5. If dark mode has been deployed for your account, you will see a Display section under the Profile Information section on this page. (If you don’t see it, make sure you update the app to the latest version and try again later.)
  6. Under Display, tap Dark Mode .
  7. You will see three options: Device Settings, Dark Mode, and Light Mode. If you would like LinkedIn to display the topic on your phone, select Device Settings . This will provide it. syncs with system-wide appearance settings. To keep dark mode on all the time, select Dark mode .

How to turn on LinkedIn dark mode on your desktop

The LinkedIn website also allows you to turn on dark mode. Here’s how:

  1. Open the LinkedIn website and sign in to your account.
  2. On the top bar, click the Me menu, which is next to the Notifications button.
  3. Select ” Settings & Privacy” from the drop-down menu. This will open up your LinkedIn settings, which you can also quickly access by going to this page .
  4. In the left pane, select Account Settings .
  5. In the right pane, click Change next to Dark Mode, which is under Display .
  6. Again, you’ll see the same three options: Device Settings, Dark Mode, and Light Mode. Choose dark mode to switch to the dark theme on LinkedIn.

If you do not see this option, you will have to wait a little longer before it will be credited to your account. It’s also possible that you’ll see this option on mobile, but not on a computer, or vice versa, because LinkedIn’s dark mode rollout isn’t just about accounts. If you can’t wait for LinkedIn to roll out dark mode, you can always try browser extensions like Turn Off The Lights to enable dark mode for free on all websites (including LinkedIn).
