What’s on at Disney + Day on November 12
Disney + is throwing a party to celebrate 2 years of ownership of the streaming world and everyone else. While you can spend most of the celebration simply by logging into its Disney + app on Friday, November 12, the company hosts events across its various platforms and networks, both in the real world and online.
How to participate in a Disney + event on November 12
If you’re already a Disney + subscriber, it’s easy enough. Most of the magic will happen in the company’s app with new releases from major Disney brands (Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic). This way, existing subscribers can simply head over to Disney + on Friday and watch the premieres (more on those below).
If you are not an existing subscriber, you can still participate: From now until November 14, Disney is offering a subscription for new and returning subscribers: only $ 1.99 in the first month, which is a significant discount from the usual $ 7.99 …
And if registering in the comfort of your own home seems like a lonely way to celebrate anything Disney-related, most target locations will allow you to register for a store membership from November 12-14.
Finally, if you happen to visit Disney Park this Friday, you will receive a 30-minute early entry as well as special deals on photo packs.
What to expect from the Disney + event on November 12
Streaming debuts:
At the heart of it all is the streamer’s vast (and ever-growing) library, so the biggest push comes around its major premieres. There will be a lot of fun on Friday, but the first two are definitely the most important. Shang-Chi , in particular, was a massive cash register that came out just two months ago (it’s also the best Marvel movie of 2021).
- Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (with new documentary)
- Jungle cruise
- Home Sweet Home Alone (new reboot)
- Olaf presents: Frozen Fever (first in a new series of short films)
- Paperman
- Ballad of Nessie
- Celebration
- Get your horse! (based on cartoons about Mickey Mouse from the 20s)
- Small match
- Tick tock tale
- Complicated story
- Chao Alberto (new Pixar short and Luca’s sequel)
- The Simpsons in Plusaversary (new Simpsons short film)
- The world according to Jeff Goldblum (first five episodes of season 2)
- Helmet: Boba Fett’s Legacy
- Disney + Day 2021 Special from Marvel Studios
- Entrelazados
- Dopesick (internationally – not in the United States)
Beyond premieres, Disney’s various social media platforms, including the new TikTok (all @DisneyPlus), are promising some unexpected peeks. This is pure speculation, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw the new trailers for The Book of Boba Fett and Hawkeye .
