How to Make an Emergency Cookie in a Deep Fryer

As for the chocolate chip cookies, I am an equal opportunity meal. Give me a hot mass of dough, just enough to hold, or a thin crunchy disk, and I’ll be more than happy. I even love these pale brownies halfway between cookie and brownie. However, I will never refuse to order cookies in a frying pan, which in some establishments is called “pizzeria”.

This type of cookie is chewy and crunchy with a soft doughy center. Eat with a spoon. It is wonderful. You can make them at home by breaking the dough in a small cast iron skillet and baking it in the oven, but you can also make a smaller, dish-sized version in a deep fat fryer.

These deep fryer cookies require six common ingredients and roughly two minutes of your time. It can be eaten urgently, in emergency situations, but not in a hurry. It tastes a lot like pizza, soft in the middle and crunchy on the top and sides. It is based a lot on this microwave and toaster recipe , and you are free to experiment with it and make it your own. (For example, a little more brown sugar will give it a blonde vibe.)

To make this urgent but thoughtful cookie, you will need:

  • 1 tablespoon butter (you can use salted or unsalted – it really doesn’t matter).
  • 1 tablespoon dark brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 pinch sea salt (yes, even if you used salted oil)
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour (I also used self-raising for great results)
  • 1 rounded tablespoon of chocolate chips

If the butter comes straight out of the refrigerator, place it in a microwave-safe bowl and heat for about 10 seconds, until it’s completely softened. Add sugar, vanilla and salt and stir with a fork. Add flour. The mixture will appear crumbly, but will retain its shape when squeezed. Add the chocolate shavings, then press them into a 5 or 6 oz non-oiled baking dish and bake in a 350 ℉ deep fat fryer for about 10 minutes, until the top is browned (but not browned). Let cool for about five minutes before eating because it will be incredibly hot. Serve with ice cream for the ultimate pizza enjoyment.
