Ice Cream Deserves to Be Eaten Out of a Mug

Even as the pandemic wanes ( sort of – get vaccinated! ) And we mirror the political struggles of 2020 in the mirror of the review ( wait, actually … ), there is still a lot of concern every day. So let’s put our common concern aside and agree on one thing: Ice cream is best eaten when eaten from a coffee mug.

Look, bowl people: you need tall mug walls to properly pour ice cream onto a spoon. The sides of the bowl are too low and you have to push the ice cream around and around to never get it into your hungry mouth. In addition, the handle of the mug keeps your body warm from the frozen treat by delaying it from melting.

Speaking of melting, once your ice cream is liquid, I have good news for you! Already in the cup! So you can just throw back the mug and have some freshly made soup. Or better yet (as another Joel suggested), add some coffee to it and you now have a whole new drink – with less cost.

The best way to eat ice cream is at home.

I have to caution this universal truth by pointing out that cones are great, but 1) on a hot summer day, ice cream melts and inevitably spreads down your hand, and anyway 2) cones are best bought from the store. small shop. This mug rule is for enjoying ice cream at home . Boxes of store-bought pine cones will never be as good as the ones you get from the soda fountain that serves the counter in a fun paper hat. (This is my idealized version of a 1950s suburb.)

Finally, nothing says “Fun!” as it is from the mug. It features sleepovers, movie nights and relaxation time. It’s the perfect random jar to say, “I’m going to have a little snack at midnight, but I’m not particularly sweet” … and then lets you eat 12 ounces of gelato yourself.
