Get Control, Battlefield 4, and More Free PC Games This Week
One of the best video games of 2019, Control, is free for PC this week in the Epic Game Store launcher – and it’s not the only one.
Control is a supernatural adventure game in which you play as Jesse Faden, a member of a secret government agency that investigates paranormal phenomena and artifacts. You explore a large, ever-changing government facility, opening new paths, earning new powers and weapons. Basically, this is similar to how The X-Files meets Metroid Prime and Half-Life, and it rules.
And right now, Control is completely free on the Epic Games Launcher until 11:00 ET on June 17th. Please note that this is the basic version of the game released in 2019, not the full version of 2020; you will still have to buy additional DLC content separately if you decide you like it enough to shell out the money.
How to download Control for free from the Epic Games store
- Click the Manage tab in the Epic Games Launcher or open the game’s product page under the Store section . You can also get it from the Epic Games Store website .
- Click “Receive” and follow the steps of the transaction.
- Once a game is added to your library, you will own it forever.
Epic Games is giving away games like this for PC all the time, so it’s worth logging in to see what’s on offer. There are dozens of other free games on the Epic Games Store right now, including the recently added free MMORPGs Genshin Impact and Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis. All free games are listed on the Store tab under Browse> Free.
