We know that it is important not once talk about sex with our kids, and a lot of talk at the micro level : talking about their bodies, puberty, sex and harmony, starting with youth and expanding these topics as they grow older. … However, even if we are open with our children from the very beginning, and even if they know that they can come to us when they need to talk, there are still questions that they are unlikely to turn to us to get answers. This is why we need a little extra support from Planned Parenthood.

Planned Parenthood has produced a series of sex education videos called “Ask the Experts,” in which a group of young hosts answer common questions that teens might want to ask but hesitate to ask. They approach the topic without judgment, using both anatomically correct terms and slang. Here are examples of the questions they take on:

The presenters use graphics to illustrate their thoughts (including cartoon genitals), as well as prosaic tone and language to describe our bodies and reproductive systems. The result is a trusted resource that you can share with them to answer their questions honestly and accurately, even if you remind them that they can always come to you if they want to know more.
