How to Find the Best Deals Online Using Microsoft Edge

The Microsoft Edge browser has become a major competitor to Google Chrome, providing users with a similar browsing experience that exists (mostly) outside of Google’s tracking and advertising infrastructure and requires fewer resources. That said, one of Chrome’s long-standing strengths is its built-in Google Shopping tools on desktops and mobiles that allow you to shop at the lowest prices on the web, but Microsoft is steadily closing the gap with the release of the Edge Chromium version 91 update. This update adds two new shopping features for desktop users: a built-in price tracker and integration with Bing Rebates.

While there are many third-party price tracking add-ons available for Edge, Microsoft’s browser can now display product price history while you shop online. To access it, open the product page of any online store, then click the blue price tag icon that you see at the end of the URL bar. This will open up the Edge price tracker, which will show you a graph showing how many an item has been sold in the past and how the current price is being compared. The Compare to Other Retailers button also lets you see how much an item costs on other websites.

The menu will also tell you if there are online coupons or other discount codes available, or if the purchase qualifies for the Bing Rebates program, which earns you cash back rewards when you shop through the Bing.com shopping tab or select online stores. You must register and activate Bing Rebates, and sign in to Edge with a Microsoft account at the time of purchase to take advantage of the program.

New online shopping features are available in the Edge 91 update, which also brings several other features and updates, including the Sleeping Tabs feature that increases memory savings by up to 82 percent, new browser theme colors, and an updated new tab page. with advanced recommendations for personalized content. Go to Settings> About Microsoft Edge to download the update, or download a fresh installation from the Microsoft download page .
