What’s New at Disney + June 2021
Loki, Luke. Luka, Loki. Disney Plus is committed to keeping you home in June as it premieres the third TV series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the next Pixar feature film.
If you’re a Disney Plus subscriber, you’re probably already looking forward to the first one. Loki (9 June) certainly hopes to keep the hype around the MCU after at the beginning of this year, he went bankrupt and WandaVision, and “Falcon”, and “Winter Soldier” . He brings back everyone’s beloved anti-hero, Thor’s brother Loki (or his version at least) for time travel and the multiverse . Luca (June 18), a new Pixar film from rookie director Enrico Casarosa ( Luna short) and screenwriters Mike Jones ( Soul ) and Jesse Andrews ( Me, Earl and the Dying Girl ), is less intimidating in terms of storytelling. This is the story of two young boys, Luca and his new best friend Antonio, who are exploring the Italian Riviera and trying to hide the fact that they really are from the underwater kingdom of monsters, and the sun-drenched backdrop will definitely give you that great summer. the senses. (Though I hope you won’t be too disappointed, this is not a child’s version of the bizarre Call Me by Your Name that some viewers of the trailer were presenting.)
Like Soul last December, Luca will upgrade straight to the service at no additional cost to renting Premiere Access.
Other June events include the premiere of the new series, The Mysterious Society of Benedict , based on popular children’s books filled with riddles (June 25); Wolfgang (25 June), a documentary on the culinary journey of famous chef Wolfgang Puck; and the regular streaming premiere of Paradise and the Last Dragon (previously only available for a $ 30 surcharge, free for all Disney Plus subscribers on June 4).
