Download Best Pandemic Party Game for Free

Stop what you are doing, install Steam on your desktop or laptop (if you haven’t already) and go to the Quiplash store page . It’s a delightfully fun Jackbox Games experience of “post answers to a tip and everyone votes what’s funny” that has been the backbone of the pandemic lives of many bored people over the past year or so.

Yes, and Quiplash is completely free. The only drawback is, firstly, you have until Monday, April 26th, 10:00 AM PT to request this free version for your Steam account; and secondly, you get the very first version of the game. There were three versions of Quiplash in the seven Jackbox party packs ( at the time of this writing) and each one has different tips, settings, and final round formats.

However, I’m not saying this to belittle OG Quiplash . The game doesn’t require any graphical enhancements to get better , as the fun depends entirely on the group of people you play with. And if you’ve never played Jackbox over the Internet with your friends, the company makes it easy for anyone to join the game. This and all this weirdness makes Quiplash so damn addicting.

All you have to do as a host for the game is to launch Quiplash on your computer and show your screen to everyone who is playing. It’s easy to do this in an app like Zoom , Google Meet, or Discord . As part of the game setup, all participants will see the code they enter into the free website on their smartphones or tablets. Their smartphones will then turn into a game controller – what you use to enter responses. It’s a format that’s perfect for headlines like this, and it’s completely free as well. Jackbox does not charge any additional fees for any kind of multiplayer connection.

Last but not least, being good at Quiplash requires being fun, and it depends on your ability to read in the room. You can be absurd; you can cater to topics (or dirty jokes) that you know your friends will laugh at; you can add a completely irrelevant joke that will take on a life of its own in subsequent rounds of the game.

I don’t want to get into this too clinically – it’s just a Jackbox after all – but know that you will have Quiplash nights that are downright wild and some seem unlucky . There will be times when you’re just not funny, no matter how hard you try, but Quiplash is still one of the best virtual entertainment you can have with your friends. The fact that you can now get it for free at a low cost is a rare treat that will improve everyone’s pandemic life.
