What’s New on Amazon Prime Video March 2021
The TV adaptation of The Walking Dead horror comic is expected to conclude in 2022, at the end of its 11th season – an impressive stretch that has nothing to do with the comic’s 17-year run of 193 issues. But for most of that time, franchise creator Robert Kirkman has been working on another long graphic saga, Invincible, about a young superhero discovering his destiny. It ended in 2018 after 15 years and 144 episodes – and now it also hits TV on the Prime Video animated series, which will debut in March.
Like The Walking Dead , Invincible (March 26) is largely an adult property despite its young protagonist– the blood-soaked trailer above makes this clear. Mark Grayson grows up, the son of Earth’s most powerful hero, Omni Man, awaiting the day when he will develop his own powers – but once that finally happens, he discovers the existence of an intergalactic conspiracy larger than that of the Watchmen . sophisticated enough to cover any number of seasons of the show Amazon chooses. This month, Prime Video also unveils the sequel to Eddie Murphy’s 80s hit ” Coming to America . “ Originally slated for a theatrical release, Paramount sold the highly anticipated sequel to Amazon in the midst of the pandemic. Coming 2 America (March 5) meets current King Akim Joffer, ruler of the fictional nation Zamunda, who returns to the states in search of the child he incredibly spawned behind the scenes in the first film.
That’s all it comes to the service in March. Amazon has not yet released a list of movies that left Prime Video this month (if any), so we will update this post as soon as that information becomes available.
