Eight months after the start of the global pandemic, the incidence of COVID-19 and the number of hospitalizations are skyrocketing . Health professionals have taken on so much of the psychological and emotional burden this marathon plague has brought, and you may be wondering how you can show a health professional that you value their sacrifices.
Luckily, El Monte RV wants to hear from you to make this a reality. The company is seeking candidates for the Health Hero title for a week-long RV vacation available to any physician, nurse, technician, medical researcher, hospital healthcare professional, or pharmacist working in the continental United States. A weeklong respite from the chaos of treating COVID patients probably sounds like bliss for your future health hero.
How to appoint a healthcare professional
In contrast to the thorny mess that has kept this virus from spreading, the filing requirements are very simple. All information for a nominee can be provided in the form of a competition. However, the requirements for the nominee are somewhat stricter:
To be eligible for this competition, a candidate must (1) be a medical professional currently licensed in the United States, or (2) be a member of the relevant branch of the medical profession. Eligible affiliates are listed in the Official Rules available at the bottom of this page.
The application must include a written story about the candidate in addition to a photograph or video of the healthcare professional. All candidates must select a healthcare professional whom they know personally; there are no doctors you know exclusively on television or on social media. Medical residents are also welcome.
The winner will be chosen through a “popular vote” in accordance with the details of the competition, which supposedly means an online vote. You must submit your candidatures by December 13th and the winner will be announced on December 16th.
In a press release, Gordon Houston, chief operating officer of El Monte RV’s parent company, Tourism Holdings Limited, said the winner will receive “a seven-day campervan ride to the most exciting outdoor locations the US has to offer.” It remains to be seen what these “breathtaking outdoor locations” are, but you can rest assured that whoever wins the ride will enjoy a much-needed escape.
