How to Create a Countdown Widget in IOS 14
There are many applications that you can use to create countdown widgets on iOS 14. However, don’t search for the word “countdown” in the App Store, you’ll just be disappointed. I’ve experimented with one called the Countdown Widget Maker, and while it’s not free – there are very few of them – it gets the job done if you’re looking for elegant, customizable widgets.
Why do you need an app like Countdown Widget Maker ? Because you want to know how many days, hours or minutes are left before some important milestone in your life, whether it’s your birthday, the launch of a new game console, how much time is left before you can quit your job, or the time, the remaining COVID in your quarantine.
As mentioned, there are tons of paid countdown apps on the App Store, and I don’t mind the developers putting in a bit of effort (although this is not an app you should pay a subscription fee to access). With Countdown Widget Maker, you can create two basic countdown widgets for free, which should be good enough for your huge events, but it will cost you a one-time $ 4 fee if you want unlimited countdown widgets and additional customization.
I love Countdown Widget Maker because it is very easy to customize the look of your widgets with the default editing tool, even if you stick with the free version:
By default, you just need to add a name and choose a time. That’s all. If you need a different widget theme, you will have to spend some money on the “professional” features:
Otherwise, you can change the colors and font of your widget however you want. When you’re done, you save your learning widget and then go back to the iPhone home screen, long press on an open space, and add the widget as usual. (You are running IOS 14, right?)
Here is your widget. As mentioned, other widget styles can represent your information in different ways. You can probably find other apps that allow you to create similar widgets for less money, but I don’t think anyone really needs to find fault with a dollar or two.
