How to Watch Apple’s Time Flies Event Today

Another day, another Apple event. And while Apple’s product release timeline seems shaky due to the pandemic (and the quarantines that followed), we’re still seeing some fun new gadgets today.

While I would normally not recommend tune in to any new product announcements from Big Tech – they get so funny after a while – I was so impressed with the quality of Apple’s virtual Worldwide Developers Conference this year that I suppose you might as well see that Apple has been working to this day, if only for the sake of manufacturing cost. I mean, what else are you going to do during a pandemic / wildfire / whatever hits your region this week?

Where (and when) to broadcast the “Time flies” event

Since the Apple event is virtual (and is undoubtedly pre-recorded from Apple Park as much as possible), you have a few different ways to watch. Before we get to that, let’s talk about logistics. The Apple event kicks off at 10:00 AM PT (1:00 PM ET). Mark your calendar.

If you want to watch Apple’s Time Flies event on the big screen – at least something bigger than your laptop or phone – you can stream it directly from the Apple TV app. You don’t need an Apple TV subscription or anything like that (and, yes, you can use this app to watch the event on any device it works with).

Otherwise, if you want to use the classic method, you can simply openthe AppleYouTube channel and tune in that way. Go there now and you can even set a little reminder for the event. Finally, you can always head over to Apple’s website to watch the live stream, which also lets you create a little calendar reminder. (Spoiler: today.)

I am ambivalent about which method is the best given how multitasking I am at the time of these product announcements. However, I find that any option that allows you to bring the event to an additional screen (like your iPad, TV, or whatever) is ideal; You can then use your laptop to work, laze, or live tweet every word of the perfectly combed Craig Federighi, Apple’s senior vice president of software development. Or, hey, start scrupulously updating the Apple Store website to get your first pre-order bonuses for that new iPad? New Apple Watch?

At least, those are my assumptions regarding today’s announcement. If you expect Apple to announce its new iPhone, I think it will come at a later date given the production delays. It just gives you extra time to save money on the new iPhone 5G, right?
