How to See the New Radeon RX 6000 GPU in Fortnite

AMD recently unveiled the new Radeon RX 6000 series of graphics cards. The card is said to reach the same graphics heights as Nvidia’s flagship RTX 3080 GPU, but at a lower price point. To spark enthusiasm for the new card, AMD is offering customers a virtual hands-on GPU experience in an unorthodox way: the Fortnite in-game card.

Players can load into a custom map in Fortnite ‘s creative mode to get a feel for the RX 6000 in physical construction. The map floats in the center of the map, and you can fly right up to any part of the GPU to zoom in or zoom out to get a look at the entire model.

How to Test RX 6000 in Fortnite ‘s Creative Mode

  1. Download Fortnite .
  2. Select “Creative” and start the match.
  3. In the Creative Mode section, go to one of the game consoles and enter one of the following map codes: 8651-9841-1639 is loaded into the matchmaking center, and 5877-8461-8283 is loaded directly onto the map.
  4. Select “Confirm” and wait for the map to load.
  5. Enter the portal and you will be taken to the map. Press the spacebar twice to enter airplane mode and hover over the giant in-game RX 6000 model.

I jumped on the card and while there isn’t much to do but look at the RX 6000, it’s a new way to see the design of the card. Everything from the fans to the USB-C ports and three HDMI ports has been recreated in-game (however, the gaming scale of the GPU does not give any idea of the actual size of the card). While I would not recommend anyone go out of their way to install Fortnite for this, it is definitely worth jumping in if you are an active gamer and want to see what the next AMD card will look like.
