Can I Clean My Entire Oven With Lemon?
Remember the beginning of the quarantine when we were all baking bread and doing big cooking projects for dinner every night? Well, it’s summer now and it’s too hot for the stove to stay on for too long.
This is why this is a great opportunity to clean your trusty bakery machine. We were intrigued by this Australian account, which says you can clean an entire oven – walls, door, shelves – with just one lemon. (Or, as they call it in the mail, “LEMON”.)
For thisHack or Wack , we’re excited to introduce our new co-host, Tahsin, who actually just moved into a house with a new oven that doesn’t even need to be cleaned. So she told me about the method described in the article (which requires, in particular, a pink rag) while I went downstairs and got my gas stove dirty. ( Writer’s note: It is very difficult to find synonyms for “oven”. )
