Sound Like Darth Vader, T-Pain and More With Voicemod App for IOS and Android

The popular voice changer software for PC Voicemod is now available as a free app for iOS / iPadOS and Android, making it much easier to change sound to create silly messages, quickly add voice effects to videos, and joke around with your friends carefree. – just don’t be afraid of it.

There are over 80 voice effects in the app, including pop culture sounds like Darth Vader, the new T-Pain voice that applies an auto-tune effect, background beat, and more . Only 12 are available at any given time in the mobile app, but the list is updated every 24 hours. The PC app only offers 7 effects at a time, but has an extended set of editing tools compared to the mobile version. PC users can also buy the Pro version of Voicemod, which gives unlimited access to all effects and even advanced editing options. More features are likely to be added to the mobile version in the future, and we may even see a paid version there, but for now at least there are no annoying ads or in-app purchases to deal with.

How to use VoiceMod on iOS and Android

After spending a little time working with Voicemod, you will find that it is quite easy to use.

  1. Download and install Voicemod app from Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  2. On first launch, the application asks if you want to create a new video clip or just an audio clip. Select the option you want, then click + Create. If you’ve used the app before you wanted to create a new clip, tap the + icon, then select Audio or Video.
  3. The next screen displays a list of currently available voice effects. A timer at the top of the screen shows how long the currently selected effect is available. Effects are updated every 24 hours.
  4. Scroll through the list of voice effects and tap one to view it.
  5. Click Apply when you’re ready to record.
  6. For audio recording, tap the microphone icon to start recording. You can also adjust the clip length to five, 30 or 60 seconds. Video recording works just like the sound, with the addition of the slider “Video Effects” at the bottom, which applies filters like Snapchat, to your face and / or background. Tap the video icon to record. You can also click Voice Effects to return to the previous effect menu.
  7. Once you’re done recording, you’ll have the option to share the message, change its title, add it to your bookmarked clips for easy access later, or delete it. Click Share to send it as a message attachment. The clips are saved on your device and can be uploaded to Instagram, TikTok, and other video apps.
  8. To play and share previously recorded clips, tap the three-line menu icon in the upper right corner, tap Video / Audio Gallery, then select the Video or Audio tab.

As I mentioned above, the Voicemod mobile app lacks many of the advanced features of the PC version, so it might be worth checking out the PC version if you open the mobile app. It allows you to import MP3 files, use the digital sound card controls, and create your own voice effects. It can even be used with other video and voice chat apps like Zoom or Discord.
