Download the New Free Pantone App to Create Perfect Color Palettes

Are you someone who appreciates the subtle difference between two similar shades of red? Are you looking forward to announcing the Pantone Color of the Year? Are you constantly making mental plans to remodel the various rooms in your home, even though you don’t really have the time, money, or energy to do it? If so, you’ll probably love Pantone’s new free app that lets you quickly and easily compose color palettes. Here’s what it does and how to download it.

What does the app do?

The idea is that the new Pantone Connect app will simplify the process of moving from “color inspiration” to real design. Through the app, users can measure and match physical materials to Pantone colors, then share their inspiring color palettes on social media. If you want some extra imagination, Pantone also has a new $ 14.99 color matching card that’s credit card sized and works with your phone’s camera to measure and match colored objects, materials, and surfaces to Pantone’s color.

But the free version of the app still has a lot to do. Here’s a rundown of what a free account can do :

– All Pantone colors, always up to date

– sRGB and Hex values for all colors

– Measurement with Pantone Color Matching Card

– Extract color from images

– Palette + post images on social media

– Color library search, navigation, sorting and filtering

– Pantone Cross References (X-Ref)

– Actual color palettes from Pantone

And as with many apps, once you set up a free account, a premium version appears that you can pay extra for to unlock a new set of features, including other tools like team palette collaboration.

While the Color Match Card is compatible with both iOS and Android, the free app is currently only available for iOS .
