If you don’t want to try out iOS 14 or macOS Big Sur just yet, that’s okay. Developer beta isn’t for everyone. However, this does not mean that you cannot enjoy at least one update that both operating systems offer: new shiny wallpapers.
Yes, the look of your device is as important as its function. And if you want to pretend that you are a ballerina with a version of iOS or macOS that your friends do not have yet (or do not know how to install), you have the opportunity right now: you do not need to wait until autumn, because someone already faced the problem of extracting all these new wallpapers from new operating systems. Download them and you can install them on any device you want. What difference does it make which operating system you actually have?
