It’s Time to Cancel These Travel Subscriptions Now.
Now that we are all at home, it’s time to save some money on future travel. Canceled flights and trips have given some of us additional funds to hide them, but if you’re still spending money on travel subscriptions, now is the time to save even more by canceling or pausing what you don’t use.
You only need national cellular coverage
You may have chosen to pay an international data plan to use data, calls, and text messages while traveling, but now you cannot use these services unless you live outside the United States.
AT&T
Fortunately, you don’t have much to do when you purchase daily international service from AT&T. In fact, they specifically state that their customers only pay for the days they actually use. There is no need to cancel.
T-mobile
T-Mobile offers two international data plans: Magenta and MagentaPlus. These services can be canceled at any time by contacting T-Mobile customer support, which also offers an on-site live chat service. A word of caution though: if you are still paying for your phone and want to cancel your international tariff, you will have to pay the rest of the balance on the device immediately.
Verizon
Plan the Verizon TravelPass gives you the ability to talk, send text messages and use the Internet data in more than 185 countries outside the United States. As with AT&T, there is no need to officially cancel your subscription because you only pay for the days you used it while traveling.
See you later on the Internet
Gogo Inflight Internet is a service that United, Delta, Alaska Airlines and Air Canada use to connect your devices in the air. It’s definitely convenient, but not exactly cheap. If you are a seasoned traveler who needs this service more often, you may have paid for a monthly subscription. These monthly plans include:
- The airline’s monthly rate plan (domestic flights only) is $ 49.95.
- Fare for 2 devices (domestic flights only) – $ 59.95.
- Global Delta Plan (domestic and international flights on Delta) – $ 69.95.
- Airline annual plan (domestic only) – $ 599 per year.
Cancel by contacting Gogo Customer Support at 877-350-0038 or by emailing customercare@gogoair.com . To avoid spending next month, be sure to cancel your subscription at least two days before your monthly renewal date. If you do not cancel your subscription two days before the renewal date, you can still request a refund through support.
CLEAR this travel app
CLEAR is a great option for frequent air travel; With it, you don’t have to worry about standing in long security lines because its fast track security makes it easy for you to get through. But it wouldn’t hurt to cancel right now, especially considering how easy it is to re-register: you can do so at any CLEAR kiosk where you verify your identity with a valid photo ID, answer a few questions and attach your fingerprint and images iris to your account.
The cost is $ 179 for the entire year or $ 15 per month.

- Log in to my.clearme.com
- Click on the “Select” option under your membership details.
- If you cancel, you will receive a prorated refund for the remaining subscription time.
If you are still in the trial period, you will not be charged if you cancel your subscription before the trial period ends.
No need to travel together
Sharing services offer convenient monthly subscriptions that allow loyal customers to receive discounts. If you’re physically distancing yourself, sharing a car with a driver isn’t a good idea – and besides, where would you go?
Here’s how you can save money and cancel your monthly ride-sharing subscription.
Lyft pink
Lyft Pink gives you the ability to cancel or pause your subscription right through the app.
- Go to the “Settings” option.
- Select Cancel or Pause.
If you choose to suspend your account, you will be prompted to renew your subscription. You can only pause for up to 12 weeks and once per billing cycle. If you received a free full year of Lyft Pink through the Chase Credit Card Rewards program, you cannot suspend your subscription.
The cancellation will take effect from the next billing cycle.
Uber ride pass
This service entitles you to lower prices for UberX and Pool rides in exchange for a monthly fee of $ 24.99. Cancellation can be done no later than 24 hours before the next scheduled payment for your subscription.
