You Can Now Find a COVID-19 Testing Center With Google

Now, when you search for COVID-19 on Google, you can find information about virus testing sites near you.

On Friday, Google introduced the ability to search test sites. The search engine can now display information for more than 2,000 COVID-19 testing centers in 43 US states.

These are only places that have been approved for publication by the health authorities, so it will not be able to show you all the testing centers near you. In the case of Maine, Missouri, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Oregon and Pennsylvania, it is currently unable to show any results, according to The Verge .

The addition of test centers was part of a series of changes to Google search results. Now, when you search for anything related to COVID-19, you will see an SOS alert bar on the left side of the page. From there, you can quickly navigate to information about the virus, including symptoms, treatments, news, statistics, and yes, where you can get tested.

Clicking on the Testing tab displays this information in San Francisco.

When you click on the link, you are shown all COVID-19 testing centers on the map along with the requirements that need to be tested there.

Earlier this month, Apple also began listing COVID-19 testing centers on Apple Maps. As is the case with Google, the test centers that are included also have information next to them indicating what the testing requirements are for that particular institution.
