Try These Strength Workouts at Home If You Skip the Gym

Working from home has become the new normal, so many of us who typically do weights or strength training need to figure it out on our own this week. The good news is that many online trainers and fitness professionals are offering great home workouts this week. Here are a few of our favorites.

Light

Sarah Olive Bergeson is posting home workouts for different levels this week and this one focuses on arms and core and is aimed at beginners. You will need dumbbells, but other items, such as water bottles, can stand up too.

Middle

Garage Gym Girl has several new videos of strength training without equipment, includingthis one for the legs , and two upper body workouts that focus onstraightarm movements, such as balance and support, andflexed arm movements, such as pushing. and pulling.

Advanced

Alan Thrall posted aworkout in thegarage that requires a barbell to pull up (or a stand, such as grabbing onto beams in the basement), but no other specialized equipment. It should be difficult enough, even if you are used to lifting weights. It also has asequel with makeshift garage equipment such as a 5 gallon bucket filled with “random heavy stuff.”
