How to Broadcast Talks at This Week’s Game Developers Conference

The Annual Game Developers Conference (GDC) was scheduled to take place this week in San Francisco. Although the conference itself is not being held due to measures to stop the spread of the coronavirus, a number of talks that were supposed to take place at the conference are available exclusively via online broadcast.

Even if you are not a game developer, these conversations will be quite interesting to watch. If you are a developer or even a beginner, then even better.

The Independent Games Festival (IGF) and Game Developers Choice Awards (GDCA) virtual awards will air on Wednesday 18 March. In addition, right before the awards ceremony, Double Fine and iam8bit will present a virtualized version of their Developer Showcase Day.

Thursday

11–11: 30 pm: Preparing to Work with an In-Game Influencer: Marketing Wishlist for Developers

“This talk will teach you new and existing methods of preparing your game for content creation.”

10-10: 30: Kill the hero, save the (narrative) world

“Hannah Nicklin, Lead Writer and Storytelling Designer at MUTAZIONE, discusses key writing techniques, challenges, and writing potential for ensemble cast versus’ Hero Tales.”
