Check Out Absentee Voting Rules in Your State Now

The coronavirus is already affecting primaries in a number of states and could potentially impact elections as a whole later this year. Now is a good time for you to start learning about absentee voting in your state and subscribe to it so you can vote by mail if you need to.

Twitter user Asha Dornfest made the offer on Twitter earlier this week .

If you have not received your absentee ballot at home yet, you can start the process of obtaining it at vote.org .

There you will need to fill out a form with your name, the address where you are registered to vote, your date of birth, your email address, and your mobile phone number. After you fill it out, you will be emailed a form that must be completed in order to receive an absentee ballot at your place of residence.

When you receive this form by email, you will need to print it, fill out and sign it, and then send it to the address provided in your email. The site will also have a link to directly download the form.

It’s definitely worth checking out now, so you’re ready to make sure your vote is heard in the next elections in your state, whether you can vote in person or not.
