Buy Your Tickets for July 4th Before This Sunday to Get the Best Deals

If you’re planning a trip on July 4th, it’s time to book your plane ticket.

Lowest flights booked for the 4th of July weekend are the lowest between February 2-22, according to a new report from Adobe Travel Insights. This means you only have a few days to catch your flight before prices start to rise. According to Adobe, customers can expect to save 35% on these flights right now, compared to what they would have paid if they had booked the same flight at the last minute.

And if you think no one buys tickets at the last minute, think again: Adobe claims that the day before departure is traditionally the largest day of sales for a flight. These tickets are also, on average, 30% more expensive than they would have been if they had been booked earlier.

Adobe obtained these dates by analyzing over 1 trillion visits (yes, 1 trillion) of more than 4,500 different travel booking sites.

If you’re not planning a trip for July 4th but have plans for this summer, Adobe says that as a general rule, you should aim to buy plane tickets between 21 and 35 days en route, of which 21 days is endings. where prices start to rise a little.

Also try to avoid flying on Fridays. This is definitely something that most frequent flyers already know, but Adobe confirmed in their report that flights are traditionally much cheaper if you can fly on Saturday or mid-week rather than Friday.

A few tweaks to when you buy tickets and when you travel can save you tons of money, which you can use to buy some more cocktails when you get to your holiday destination.
