How to Enable Dark Mode in the Google Android App

Soon every app will have a dark mode because it looks cooler than a bright white background, dot. Google’s latest setting on the official Google Android app is to enable dark mode in the app on all Android smartphones. But since we’re talking about Android and another Google release, your results may vary.

To get started, you need to install the latest beta version of the Google search app. Visit this site , register for the beta and wait for your app to update via Google Play. If you’re impatient, you can always download the latest beta from APK Mirror , but it’s always best to avoid downloading unpublished apps on Android if you don’t need to.

Once you launch the new version of the Google app, you can switch to dark mode by opening App Settings (from within the app) and going to General> Theme. If available, you can choose between light mode, dark mode, or auto-tune, which adjusts the look of the app based on the theme you’ve chosen in general Android settings .

If you can’t see the settings, hold on. Perhaps Google’s deployment is server-side, or there is some special requirement that Google uses to determine who gets dark mode (probably pixels) and who doesn’t (a random set of non-Pixel phones).
