Learn a New Language by Playing Games With This App

When it comes to learning a new language, I usually prefer Duolingo. I have reached a point where I have decided that I will probably never be completely fluent in another language, but whenever I travel somewhere where I do not usually speak my native language, I try to grasp the basics before I get there. This usually means that in the weeks leading up to any big trip, I often spend 10-15 minutes a day training onsite, so I’m not completely lost.

Duolingo is cool, but sometimes you might want to try something a little different. Vocly is an app that helps you develop your language skills by playing games.

Like Duolingo, Vocly suggests that you spend just a few minutes each day working on your language skills. His sentence is just 7 minutes, which means you can probably handle a workout while commuting on the train to work or waiting in line at the grocery store.

You’ll want to hear the app, so earbuds come in handy when you’re on the go.

Once you start a lesson, the counter at the top of the screen will tell you how much time you have left. They take those seven minutes seriously, so you won’t waste any more time if you don’t want to.

After going through some of the tutorial, it’s simple enough so you don’t get confused, but repetitive enough so that you actually build vocabulary along the way and feel like you’ve learned something when you’re done.

If you are already studying a language program, this can be a good addition to help you speed up your learning process.
