Eat Cranberry Sauce All Year Round

Cranberry sauce plays a vital role in Thanksgiving. Without it, salt and fat will dominate your palate, and your mouth will quickly become oversaturated with rich, savory flavors. Cranberry sauce helps to get rid of it all, and our food is better for it. But why limit the sweet and savory seasoning to one day? He has so much more to offer.

At the very least, you should add it to all your turkey sandwiches. Cranberry sauce is great for the leftover sandwich, but it’s not the only turkey sandwich you eat all year long. Heck, that would be fine for other sandwiches too – ham, grilled cheese, or grilled ham and cheese – all would benefit from a little purple sauce.

Do you know how some cheese platters go with a bit of jam to feast on spicy cheddar and funky blues? Yes, cranberry sauce will work there too. It will also work with pork chops or latkes (which we ALSO should eat all year round) instead of regular applesauce.

You can buy canned cranberry sauce during the normal calendar year, but now is a good time to stock up if you see a holiday sale. If you prefer homemade cranberries, you can freeze fresh cranberries (or buy frozen ones) and make small portions according to your favorite recipe. There’s no reason not to enjoy the sweet and sour bliss of cranberry sauce every damn day, if that’s what you want. Time is an illusion and cranberry sauce is good. Adjust your life accordingly.
