Earn Rewards for Purchases on Google Play With Google Play Points

You can now earn rewards for downloading things from Google Play. This week Google introduced its Google Play Points Program in the United States , a free program that lets you earn points on purchases made on Google Play, which can then be redeemed for discounts and special items in games like Candy Crush Saga and Pokémon GO. or for a loan for movies, games, or apps.

To use Play Points, you first need to register. To do this, launch Google Play on your mobile device. Most likely, you will receive a pop-up window asking you to register. If you don’t, just tap the menu on Google Play and select “Play Points”.

Points are awarded for all purchases on Google Play. So everything from renting a movie to buying a book or game matters. Google Play Points have four levels, from Bronze to Platinum. Your level depends on how many points you have accumulated, and higher levels have bonuses such as weekly prizes. You can also use your points to donate to a constantly updated list of nonprofits, including Save the Children and Doctors Without Borders.

The number of points you earn depends on your spending level. While bronze users will only earn 1 point per dollar spent, platinum users can instead earn 1.4 points per dollar.

If you don’t spend too much, chances are good that you will have to wait a bit to actually receive these rewards. For example, a $ 2 reward for playing Angry Birds Dream Blast will be worth 100 points.

That being said, if you are an Android user, it makes sense to sign up so that any dollars you spend will be counted as a possible reward.
