How to Make Your Facebook Timeline Always Start With Your Loved Ones

If you are a Facebook user, then you are probably very familiar with the Facebook timeline, where you can see status updates from all of your friends.

You’ve also probably been annoyed more than once by the fact that you had to flip through tons of messages from people you knew ten years ago before you actually see messages from your current friends or family.

Facebook’s algorithm and who you follow and don’t follow on the site can play an important role when it comes to this order and makes it less cheesy. One thing you may not be aware of is that you can actually dictate whose posts appear first each time through a hidden Facebook setting.

To access it, log into Facebook on your desktop computer and click the down arrow in the upper right corner of the page.

From there, select “News Feed Settings” from the dropdown menu. The settings menu will appear, with the first option being “Prioritize View First”. Click on it.

You will then see your complete friends list. Click on the people you definitely want to see posts from so that those specific friends’ posts show up in your feed first.

After that, every time you log into Facebook, you will subsequently see the latest posts from this friend at the top of your feed, ensuring that you don’t miss anything (and don’t fall down the rabbit hole looking at posts from people you no longer communicate with. regularly).
