Check If Your IPhone 6s Is Eligible for Apple’s New Repair Program

If you have an iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus, especially one that you can’t turn on, we might have some good news for you.

This week Apple launched a new program to repair phones, specifically devices that were manufactured between October 2018 and August 2019. This means that you purchased these 6 phones last year.

Apple says it “has determined that some iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus devices may not turn on due to component failure.”

The issue only affects devices with a specific limited range of serial numbers.

To find out if this is affecting your phone, you need to go to the Apple website to find the program and then enter your device’s serial number .

If your phone is secure, you can get it repaired at any Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider. If you have already repaired your phone due to an issue, Apple will reimburse you for the repair using your receipt.

The program applies to affected iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus devices for 2 years after the first retail sale of the device.
