Use a Squirt to Make the Perfect Paloma
Paloma is one of my favorite soda pops, mainly because it’s a good excuse to drink Squirt, the grapefruit soda of my youth. Mix it with tequila and a little lime for a very sunny shake to drink right in a glass.
If squirting isn’t your thing, any grapefruit soda will work. Jarritos and San Pellegrino are my other two favorites, but if you have another favorite brand you should feel entitled to use it. In addition to your favorite soda and some tequila (blanco), you need half a lime. If you want to dive into the world of four-ingredient cocktails, a little salt in the drink is fine too. To make a refreshing fruit cocktail, you will need:
- 2 ounces tequila blanco
- 1/2 lime
- 4 ounces grapefruit soda
Add tequila and the juice of half a lime to a highball filled with ice. Sprinkle with grapefruit soda on top and stir gently to combine. Enjoy and repeat as needed.
