Find Podcasts About Your Destination

A story podcast map is a world map with markers for podcasts (and podcast episodes) that discuss specific cities, states, countries, and regions. While far from exhaustive, it is a great starting point if you want to know about a specific place.

Listening to a local history podcast is a great way to get ready for your trip, or to have fun on planes, trains, and cars as you travel. This is a good way to learn about the places where you live and work, or where you grew up. In many places, you can find podcasts about specific eras, areas, or aspects of life.

For example, podcasts on English history include the Renaissance shows Tudor, I Almost Don’t Know Her and The Rough Tudors , the Age of Victoria Victorian show, royal shows such as Factor Rex and The Queens of England , a social history show, Galla Girls and Wayward Women and A History of the English Language , and British Empire show Pax Britannica . There are shows about Bristol and London , as well as a show about the history of psychiatry in the UK .
