Cook the Perfect Bacon in the Oven Instead of a Frying Pan

There are several ways to cook bacon – they are all good – but oven cooking is unmatched in its simplicity. There is no grease splatter, no need to watch closely, and the oven’s slow, even heating means each strip comes out perfectly crispy from edge to edge. You don’t even need to preheat the oven; in fact, it’s best if you don’t.
Just like cooking bacon in a skillet, baked goods benefit from a cold start. When heated in the oven, the fat spreads gently, resulting in flatter, crunchier and evenly fried strips of jerky pork. (You can also save some energy by not waiting for the oven to heat up.) Simply place the wire rack on the rimmed baking sheet, add the bacon, and place everything in the cold oven. Set the temperature to 375 ℉ and go. Mark the baked goods after about 20 minutes and let cook until they are as crispy as you like. Remove the skillet from the oven, remove the bacon (and wire rack) from the skillet, and strain the fat into a saucepan or grease jar . Eat perfectly crispy bacon. Repeat as necessary.
