Get ready for the weekend by choosing a cool video game for a great price … nothing. GOG.com , formerly known as Good Ol ‘Games, is giving away the 2016 Obduction puzzle for free as part of its Summer Sale Festival. The game is only available today, May 30, 2019, and tomorrow, May 31, 2019, so I recommend that you take a second and grab it as soon as possible before time runs out.

If you haven’t heard of it, Obduction is a puzzle game from developer Cyan, who created the popular PC game Myst . While it’s not quite the same, Obduction modernizing countries, changing the reality of ideas in Myst and its sequel, Riven, so if you remember how to play and enjoy these games (or just thought they were traveling), you may want to try those days of gaming glory in the 1990s and relive them. Nathan Grayson of Kotaku said he was “very impressed” with the game’s opening puzzles. You can check it out in the first 15 minutes if you want to see the game in action.

If you are interested in purchasing the game, go to the GOG Giveaway page , scroll down to the Obduction banner and click the button that says “Get it for free”. You will need to sign in to your Gog account to get the game – if you don’t have one, you will be prompted to register or sign in with Facebook. (Personally, I’d say create a new account, rather than bind more data to Facebook, but the choice is yours). Once you log in, Obduction will be added to your GOG games list, which you can find by going to the dropdown menu under your profile name and choosing Games.

Unlike Steam or Epic Games Store , you don’t need GOG, GOG Galaxy game launcher software to download and play games purchased from the GOG store. If you would like to download the game separately, go to the Obduction download page in the games list, scroll down to the Offline Backup Game Installers section and click on the file name. Please note that if you load the game this way, you will need to manually update the game when and if the developer releases new fixes.
