Use Mayonnaise to Bake Chicken Nuggets

We have known for a long time that mayonnaise has applications not only in gourmet sandwiches and salads. Fried steaks , baked pies and mashed potatoes are just a few of its ” non -bread” applications, and I’m so happy to announce one more: the breading of these slices.

This idea is not my original idea, but after a little testing, I can confirm that laurelnev is completely right: mayonnaise is a great substrate for breading. Instead of dipping them in egg and / or milk, you can paint the chicken pieces with them in a completely even layer, which means that not an inch of the piece is left without breading.

You can also season with mayonnaise in addition to breading. Salt and pepper are a must, but pepper, garlic powder, lemon zest, and even a little sugar will work. Just mix the flavors with mayonnaise to taste, paint the mixture over nuggets or strips, and dip them in flour or breadcrumbs. Broil, bake, or broil until golden brown and serve with a rich dipping sauce (or more mayonnaise).
