Easily Share Parents’ Medical Updates With the Group With This App

My mother passed away a few years ago, having lived for about 20 years with multiple sclerosis. During those two decades, my siblings and extended family changed responsibilities frequently, taking her to the doctor, bringing groceries home, and helping her with the errands she needed to do.

This meant that we also spent a lot of time exchanging information about how she is doing and what the doctor said during her last visit. Information that sometimes went out of order at the end of a large-scale phone game, leading to a bit of frustration. Medcorder is an app that can help.

With the app, you can create a digital chat room and include everyone who needs to be aware of human health. The person who goes to the doctor can record (with permission!) The doctor’s instructions, which will then be recorded in the application using AI and published for everyone to see.

A family member who takes mom to the grocery store can leave a note about what she bought this week, and another family member who takes her to physical therapy can post an update on how it goes.

Besides text, the app can also handle things like storing photos and medical records. Everything is stored in the cloud and then pushed through the app to everyone in your person’s care group, so you all know what’s going on and are on the same page.

One thing definitely worth noting is the company’s privacy policy , which says it can share what you do on the app anonymously without identifying you on your patient in order to improve the app in the future. Not good.

For some, it might interfere with the deal, but at the very least it should make you think about what you are sharing in the app. Telling the group that the document says Mom is feeling better and needs to keep taking the same pills is probably okay, but you should probably ditch the photo of her Social Security card and share it through the app.

You will want to be very careful with how you use the app, but it can be extremely helpful to keep the group informed.
